Brooklyn Bridge

I just thought of going to Brooklyn Bridge....because I recently saw "It's kind of a funny story"

There ain't a nice picture of me taken by other people...because I'm the freaken best photographer in town... Which is a disadvantage on my part....

So as usual, I took my own shots..

W restaurant

Today (actually, yesterday) I freaked out because I was supposed to be at work by 8:30 but I woke up at 8:36! I was sooooooo mortified upon opening my eyes and checking my phone! I called the baby's mom ( lets just call her Miss Girl and the dad Me. Boy) and she said not to worry since they're not going to office anyway because of the Doctor's appointment. Oh yeah of course, how could I forget? -.-
Anyway, so they usually love it when I go with them on Doctor's appointments do I went with them anyway. During lunch we are a a fancy restaurant that we happened to pass by. Mr. Boy went out first to take the car out of parking but said we should just take our time eating. Miss Girl and me were busy talking about stuff, my plans for vacation, my school, my mom and dad and all the other things.. Yep, she's so hip and kind I'm so freakediken lucky. I couldn't finish my order which is a grilled chicken panini with fries on the side. Usually when i eat out with them, I don't get to finish my food and we'd have it on a to-go-box. This time the waiter already dished out their plates except mine. Miss Girl had to order another drink since we still had so much talking. When her drink is halfway done and I was barely touching my plate. The waiter came near us and mumbled something that I thought was "would you like a box?" and I gestured a nod yes since Miss Girl and me were talking. We waited for mu box and when miss girl's drink is over, we were wondering of I really asked the waiter to have it on a to go box or did we just let him dish it out. We asked the waiter and yes he already had it dished out. We were okay about it anyway it was no one's fault. But the lady waitress who has our server that day insisted that she'd just ask the chef to make me another and put it in a box since we paid for that meal anyway. Gee that was really generous.

Now, when I'm eating the said dish for breakfast....I was surprised to see a whole new order complete with the fries! Gee, that's even more generous! Too bad I forgot the name of the restaurant! But I'm sure it started with a W and I'm more sure I'll be back there again (; 5star yelp review for them!

Unbelievably pigging

The brace hurt when I bite. And damnit it's exactly what I needed and expected. Apparently, my unbelievably unconquerable love for food does not (and doesn't seem like it'll ever be) say it's farewell speech in this way.
I freakin binged again! I ate nuts and chips! And worse I ate double fudge topped with caramel syrup on my way home and I finished the two large cookies! Also, it seemed like it still wasn't enough, I passed by the mall...actually it's further than our house from where I work!...just to eat a large cup of frozen yogurt with all the diabetes inducing goodness on top of it! And it was 9pm darn it..

There's something terribly wrong with mee.

PS: I ate the full bowl of Latik last night. I slurped it all til the bowl's shiny. WTH me.

9/11 Brace Face

I got my braces today. I've attempted to do this in the Philippines before but I made a bunch of excuses just to delay it. I guess it really is a lot more expensive here in the US than it is in the PH. I'm paying for it anyway so this is one of the free-willing stuff that I have without any parental holdbacks and baggage.

I didnt get the invisalign aside from the fact that it's double the price of the one I'm having, is it wouldn't really hurt my mouth at all. And since you know that I have been bingeing so many times a day, I just thought I'd really need help from a physical restraint this time around. The regular braces would provide me that pain I need >:) let's just cross fingers!

I asked the dentist to just have it simply silver. I didn't like to put any colored stuff because it doesn't look formal. You'll look like a kid and you'd seem like you shouldn't be taken seriously....you'll look like a pathetic highschool freshman. Also, the confusion of which color to pick is just an unnecessary hassle.

Speaking of the dentist....he's a gorgeous man. Btw, I didn't go to
Manhattan this time because I was looking for a place that's not more than 7mins away from my place just in case of dental emergencies. I don't like walking around manhattan so much when I look freaky anyway. Going back, the dentist is gorgeous because he's very approachable, entertaining, nice, calm, sweet, comfortable and humorous. He's easy on the eyes too! You'd actually think he's gay because of the way he talks but he is a family man. He's wife is his clinic's front desk/receptionist and they already have two kids, and another one riding 5months on her mommy's belly. He reminds me of Barney Stinson without being extensively talkative, rude, dirty, and crazy. He might be more of a Niel Patrick Harris than Barney. Idk why I thought of that, maybe because of the body built as well and his hair style.

After his assistant did something-I-do-not-know-of in my mouth, he took over with his mask on. I felt conscious at first because I didnt know it was him (blame the mask). I thought it was another younger dentistwho's, not more than 25yo, who's freakin smokin hot. But when he started to talk and being accommodating, nice and comfy....I automatically concluded: wow, he's nosebridge and up actually makes him look young! An gorgeous!
His wife is pretty...beautiful rather. She's petit & her English is not as good as his husband's but she's nice too. I guess their both Latina&Latino. But whatever, they look great together!

I'm posting a picture I took two days before bracing...I'll update this post for an after shot.

9/11 Hand Burn

I burnt my left hand with steaming hot water from the cup of tea I had on the table. I forgot the details of the acrobatic stunt I did, but I know I was holding my phone and my dad was sooo panicky witnessing the scenario.

It's hella painful but during that moment I pretended it was nothing because my dad had his eyes on me...the you-clumsy-child stare. terribly burning but my thought was still on my phone. This happened pre-dinner.
When we went nextdoor fo dinner (every meal we dine together with our nextdoor neighboors which are our aunts, grandma and uncle) I shared what had happened to my aunt and she said I should've placed tomatoes on my hand (back of the fingers) to keep it from swelling the next day. I eyed on the side dish we had which were diced tomatoes and cucumber in videgar and soysauce. I grabbed some from the plate and placed the tomatoes on my hand. EEEEHH, no table manners, eh?

Anyway, my sister, Renea cooked "nilagang baka" as one of the dishes. We usually dont transfer it anymore to a bowl, we just place the hot pot on the table right away (ofcourse with a thing under it to protect the table). Me and my aunt were talking, Renea was trying to get a piece of beef from the boiling pot beside me. She sit's on my right side and I'm technically in between her and the pot. With my left hand in prone position and with tiny bits of tomatoes resting over it.....lo and behold! she spilled boiling soup on my left hand again! It was like rubbing salt to the wounds! Very ouch, but the three of us couldnt help but laugh! Renea was laughing and so sorry she tried to hug my head. My aunt handed over a spoon of tomatoes this time. ;)

Pause and Play

After three years of estrangement from my blogs, here I am again popping up like a mushroom.
Ever since my family and I moved away from my hometown, my bestfriend and I scarcely have communication. Although social networks are at their peak, the time twelve-hours time difference made things so hard for us to catch up.
We usually would talk about random stuff everyday when where graders; almost everyday or every other day during high school and every week or more during college. Those were long hours of chatty blabbers without exhaustion. Still a lot of talking in there, aint it?
Well that was long ago and since I've moved in to another country now, we would rarely talk about stuff. Every time we get to catch each other online, all we every do is catch up and open random topics that we never really had time to talk about in detail due to external disturbances such as poor connection, exhausting typing-down-the-keyboard (or worse: touchscreen), uncoordinated time zones, and of course...GDs.
She kept on telling me to continue my blog so she can read it, and I kept saying 'yes but not now' because the laptop sucks the hell out of me and I just couldn't remember the log in information and I don't think I have a day to spend editing the layout and stuff. It's only when I got the read her blog finally, then I decided open up my long forgotten treasure box of blogs that I've realized how fun my days were. I wanted to keep it so bad. I've heard a lot of closed networks just like Friendster and the soon to be closed Multiply. It got me scared about forgetting about my blogs. I'm just paranoid they might permanently shut down my URL because nobody's taking care of it! LOL.
So, I painstakingly looked for means to open it. Through checking out which accounts I've connected them to and finally I managed to change the password, now I'm here blabbering again! Wee!
Basically this blog will be just like a diary as her sister Pens and Papers. The new blog I had (yeah, I made a new one before because I thought I permanently lost this account!) is about random thoughts I have and the POVs I'd like to discuss.

Later this week or this month, I'd update this post and put links on it! :)
